The Angel Island mouse is a species of rodent that was found on the Mexican island of Ángel de la Guarda, and its nearby islands. Scientists believe that the species is probably extinct due to feral cats killing them off in those islands. However, it is believed that the entire population of an islet to the south of Ángel de la Guarda was killed off by ONE cat that was present in the island between 1998 and 1999!
